Rupinder Mangat-Deol, Ph.D., G.N.P.
Assistant Clinical Professor
Rupinder Mangat-Deol is an assistant clinical professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. As a clinician educator, she teaches students in the school’s clinical degree programs She brings 30 years of clinical experience in nursing and health care.
Mangat-Deol has worked in multiple care settings including inpatient, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care and outpatient clinics. Her area of interest in research is diabetes in Asian Indians and has several publications. Currently, she divides her time between providing patient care for Sutter Health’s diabetes weight management programs and classroom instruction for School of Nursing students.
Mangat-Deol received a Bachelor of Arts in Rehabilitation from the University of Calgary, Alberta. At Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, Conn., she earned a Master of Science in Nursing and a gerontological nurse practitioner certification. She received a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from UCSF, where she was also a postdoctoral scholar.
