Applications for Fall 2026 enrollment open now through Jan. 5, 2026
Online applications for fall incoming classes in the Doctor of Philosophy Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership Degree Program are available through UC Davis Graduate Studies. Applications open Oct. 10, 2025 and close at 11:59 p.m. PT Jan. 5, 2026 (for guaranteed consideration). Applications received between Jan. 16 and June 1 are reviewed if it's determined that the program has space after reviewing general deadline applicants. The space available application deadline is 11:59 p.m. PT June 1, 2026.

- A bachelor’s degree
- A minimum bachelor's degree GPA of 3.0
- Three letters of recommendation
- Completion of UC Davis Graduate Studies application, including required essays
- The application process may require an interview
- The GRE is not required
- TOEFL or IELTS (International graduates only)
- International graduate requirements
Online applications are processed through UC Davis Graduate Studies, which coordinates UC Davis graduate degree programs. All applicants must submit a completed UC Davis Graduate Studies application and meet UC Davis requirements for graduate admissions.
Admissions decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Meeting some or all of these criteria does not guarantee admission, but merely eligibility. Admission is competitive.
Completion of a basic course in descriptive and inferential statistics. Please note: While this is not a course requirement and will not impact admissions decisions, it is strongly encouraged for student success.
