Research

In support of scholarly work, we provide assistance with grant writing, research methodology, survey design, statistical analysis, and the development of new research proposals.

Whether you're a student, faculty or staff member, alumnus or member of the broader health care community, our team can help you design, launch, and complete your research project.

Creative Simulation Devices

We're particularly fond of developing and testing cost-effective simulation devices for teaching skills such as bladder aspiration, hip fusion aspiration, vascular access, and airway management.

From 3-D printing hip joints that show up properly on an X-ray to crafting human-like tissues from everyday materials, our team members are known for their creativity.

Recent Research Highlights

  • Working with radiology colleagues to develop a standardized response for adverse patient reactions to contrast material.
  • Conducting a cost analysis of in-situ medical training in cardiac arrest and trauma simulation.
  • Quantifying the impact of just-in-time procedural training for pediatric and adult bedside procedures, as well as the impact of in-situ training for cardiac arrest outcomes.
  • Collaborating with the UC Simulation Consortium to identify methods for improving sepsis training throughout the University of California system.
