To prepare for a new study, please contact Scott Martin. You will receive a link to a customized form to get the process started.

Before you can begin scanning, we will need to identify the following:

• Scanning Protocol
  Developed in collaboration with the IRC MRI Technician, James Wallis.
• Regulatory Approvals
  
  • Human studies: Approved UC Davis IRB consent form.
  • Animal studies: IACUC approval letter and approved Protocol for Animal Use and Care
• Required Training
  • MRI Safety Training (required for all personnel working near the scanner)
  • MRI Operator Training (required for all scanner operators)
• Funding Source
  Active billing account or grant for study charges

Pulse Sequences

• External pulse sequences must be obtained only through Siemens R&D.
• Approval requires agreements between IRC, the University Office of Research, Siemens R&D, the developer, and the outside institution.
• Ask your principal investigator to contact Youngkyoo Jung to initiate the request.
