Ajay Sampat is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology, Division of Sleep Medicine. He completed his medical school at the University of Chicago and residency at Northwestern University, prior to returning back home to California for a sleep fellowship at UCLA. He has been at UC Davis since 2018 and has sought an active role in medical education, serving as an "Academic Coach" within the School of Medicine, and as Associate Clerkship Director for the Neurology Clerkship. His academic interests include undergraduate medical education, mentorship, and career development. He also aims to promote the importance of sleep medicine and health amongst his trainees and patients.
Amy L Rahm, M.D.
Amy Rahm has been taking care of congenital heart babies at UC Davis Children’s Hospital since 2013. She provides surgical intervention to patients with congenital cardiac malformations and through collaboration with Northern California Shriners Hospital for Children, she provides chest wall surgeries for conditions such as Pectus Excavatum. Dr. Rahm's research focuses on improving the quality of care provided to patients in the perioperative period with and without congenital cardiac disease through involvement with national collaborative efforts, home monitoring program development, multiple quality improvement projects including blood conservation and narcotic sparing post-operative pain management. She is also active in the simulation/didactic curriculum development for surgical training. Her philosophy of patient care is one of inclusion. “I believe the patient and the family should be active members of the care team. It allows the doctor-patient relationship to develop with trust and understanding and a sense of transparency.” Outside of the work, Dr. Rahm and her husband host an Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in St. Augustine, FL with all proceeds going directly to the facility. Dr. Rahm’s local charities include The Children’s Heart Foundation and March of Dimes – Signature Chefs Auction for which she and her husband were the Co-Chairs in 2018 and 2019. Another local charity she is highly involved with is Horse, Hope & Healing. HHH is a local riding facility that mentors at risk youth by teaching them how to care for and rehabilitee rescued horses. Participants also learn to ride and compete as they progress in the program. Dr. Rahm herself has five rescued horses and competes at 3-Day Eventing.
Anna Vinter
Brent B Luu, Pharm.D., B.C.P.S., B.C.A.C.P.
Dr. Luu is currently an Associate Clinical Professor for the Master of Science — Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Master of Health Sciences —Physician Assistant (PA) Studies and the Master Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) degree programs at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, UC Davis. He teaches the Pharmacology series courses across the programs. Dr. Luu earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University in 1995. He also earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy in 2000. With more than 15 years of experiences in pharmacy practice, Dr. Luu brings a broad perspective of various pharmacy practice settings, including inpatient, outpatient, acute care, ambulatory care, and home infusion. Dr. Luu has authored and co-authored multiple manuscripts and book chapters in various publications. He is also the lead editor of a pharmacology textbook, Advanced Pharmacology for Prescribers, which has recently been released in January 2021. In addition, he has been a peer reviewer of various journals such as the JAAPA (Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants), JNP (Journal for Nurse Practitioners), the Annals of Internal Medicine, and the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
Emilie Bhe, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UC Davis Health. She has been involved in residency education as an Associate Residency Training Director for the past 5 years. She also serves as the director of the Psychiatry Consultation Liaison Service at the UC Davis Medical Center. Her organizational service also includes work in physician wellbeing.
I grew up in Southern California and first moved to Northern California for undergrad at UC Davis. I moved back down south for medical school at UC Irvine, where I discovered my passion for family medicine. I then returned to Northern California to pursue a family medicine residency at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, where I gained a full-spectrum training and further developed my interest in obstetrics. After graduating, I went onto Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for an additional year of training in Women’s Health as an Obstetrics Fellow. I joined the faculty at Kaiser Sacramento in 2018, where I currently work as the Women’s Health Curriculum Director for our Family Medicine Residency. I enjoy teaching our future generations of physicians and caring for patients at all stages in their lives.
Joshua Wilner, M.D. is a family medicine, sports medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Downtown Commons. He is a core faculty member for the new Kaiser Permanente Greater Sacramento Valley Family Medicine Residency Program where he teaches family medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, hospital medicine, and point of care ultrasound to residents and medical students. He completed medical school at Tufts University, family medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente San Diego Family Medicine Residency, and sports fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Sports Medicine Fellowship. His interests include about improving medical education, health care quality, point of care ultrasound, and helping patients stay active.
I am an Adult Neurologist and specialize in Epilepsy. I am interested in improving education for Neurology residents as well as Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology Fellows. I am also interested in building interdisciplinary educational opportunities to improve management of acute seizures in the hospital.
Navinderjit Singh
Puja L Chadha, M.D.

She serves as Site Director for the Adult County Mental Health Clinic supervising residents and medical students in clinical care.
Actively teaches didactics for medical students on psychiatry clerkship and is the IOR for Intimacy Seminar for 4th-year Psychiatry Residents.
She is also Director of Faculty Education, Office of Health Equity Diversity and Inclusion.
Her interests include promoting patient-centered care, innovative healthcare education, cultural safety, and advocacy to improve dignity within all aspects of health care systems.
Dr. Zach Holt is a clinician-educator who concentrates on the primary care of medically complicated patients, underserved patients, and patients with chronic pain. He loves teaching learners at all levels, and sees each clinical moment as an opportunity to foster interest in primary care.
