Our combined residency training program is a five-year experience for residents and is coordinated jointly by the departments of Family and Community Medicine and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Our residents gain clinical experience throughout their five years working at various training sites throughout the community, gaining experience in both outpatient community-based care and inpatient medical care settings. Also, as part of the resident experience, they are involved in numerous projects aimed at improving the care of underserved populations in the Sacramento community.
