The School of Medicine Office of Research Evaluation unit includes a highly skilled team with diverse research and project management skills. Evaluation team members have expertise in quantitative approaches, including survey research and data analysis. The team also includes experts in qualitative methods who use, interviews, focus groups, and data abstraction from program records.

Stuart received his doctorate in Sociology from the University of California, Davis. He has over 15 years of experience in research and evaluation. Working on various health and education programs, he provides expertise in evaluation design and implementation, qualitative and mixed methods research, and visual reporting.

Amy provides expertise on several evaluation projects, including support in evaluating CTSC training programs. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Services Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In addition to the evaluation skills Amy brings to our unit, she has extensive knowledge in community psychology, applied social psychology, research education, and qualitative/quantitative methods. Previously, Amy was an assistant professor at William Jessup University.

Melissa Sullivan received her bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from California State University, Long Beach, where she focused on the obstacles to success within an organization. She brings her data analytic and graphic design skills to build compelling data visualizations and reporting.
