This program provides one-time funding to Principal Investigators who have lost or will lose their primary extramural funding. Funds ensure the continuation of a research project for an interim period until extramural support can be reestablished.
A seed grant is generally funded through internal sources to help develop a project up to the point where external funding can be obtained. Contact somor@ucdavis.edu for more information.
Principal investigators (PI) can submit the completed forms and the required documentation for Global Affairs Seed Grants to Anuurad Erdembileg at anuerdem@ucdavis.edu.
Documents and forms sent directly to the Dean or her staff will be delayed in processing. To minimize processing delays, forms that require the Dean's signature must be routed to the School of Medicine Office of Research.
Letters of Support to be sent on behalf of the Dean of the School of Medicine, Vice Dean for Research, or other research dean are reviewed and edited by Research Operations before being forwarded for signature.
