I believe that physicians should be able to concentrate on the nuances of individual patients to provide compassionate, precise and individualized care. This is only possible when systems are established such that all due diligence is automated and optimized and I have spent a bulk of my career focusing on building these systems of care. For complex medical problems, I believe that collaboration and cross-disciplinary team based care is critical and I always strive to establish these teams for individual patients.
Dr. Sarin is an experienced colorectal surgeon specializing in the care of patients with colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and other colorectal problems. His expertise ranges from benign anorectal disease to tertiary level pelvic operations. He has a special interest in robotic colorectal surgery and in identifying its role as a novel solution to complex problems.
Dr. Sarin has an interest in identifying the role of minimally invasive and newer techniques in colon and rectal surgery as well as improving perioperative care. To this end he has worked on and extensively published on robotic colorectal surgery, enhanced recovery protocols, opioid reduction and systemic workflows that improve quality such as SSI reduction and ostomy care.
