Research in the Section of Endocrine Surgery
The Section of Endocrine Surgery is dedicated to the producing groundbreaking research to help patients with endocrine disorders. We are currently working on projects to determine the benefits of adrenal venous sampling for patients with aldosterone producing tumors, to identify new radiologic features for the classification and risk stratification of adrenal nodules, to evaluate the role of new PET technology for localizing parathyroid adenomas in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism, and to better understand factors relating to stress and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic in patients with thyroid cancer.
If you are an undergraduate student, medical student, or resident interested in becoming a member of our research team, please email Angela Pennington at apennington@ucdavis.edu.
