Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation Fellowship
The Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation (KTFG) fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UC Davis is a faculty mentoring program that engages first and second year medical students in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry (CAP). This year-long mentoring program is designed to provide clinical exposure to child and adolescent psychiatric healthcare during a medical student's pre-clinical years. First or second year UC Davis medical students are paired with child and adolescent psychiatrists, meeting at least monthly for clinical experiences and mentoring.
In addition, this program is designed to increase awareness and education about child and adolescent mental health issues. During the year, the student fellow selects a topic of interest, reviews the literature, and compiles a presentation on this topic. The student fellow then presents his/her teaching module in both an academic and a community setting.
