You can trust that you'll receive only the highest level of care from our team of orthopaedic sports medicine surgeons and specialists at UC Davis Health, who are part of the nationally ranked UC Davis Health Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
The UC Davis Sports Medicine Program evaluates all sports injuries, including the shoulder, knee, and elbow. Our team cares for athletes of all levels and focuses on each patient getting back to the highest level of physical activity possible, whether that means returning to a daily 3 mile bike ride or reporting for practice with the MLS.
Rooted in the latest medical knowledge
As leaders in our field, our team includes Richard Marder, M.D., who serves on the board of directors for the Western Orthopaedic Association (WOA), and Cassandra Lee, M.D., who serves on the board of directors for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). Our team is involved in numerous leading-edge research initiatives, which have led to multiple publications covering all aspects of Sports Medicine.

The Sports Performance Center takes on an athlete-focused approach to assess and monitor athletic performance. We offer many assessment options including, bike fit, fitness assessments, and return to play assessment/training.
