The accelerated pathways immerse students in primary care or psychiatry practice throughout a rigorous, three-year medical school curriculum.
Students begin 6 weeks earlier than the traditional medical school track and continue learning through the summer after their first year. Break schedules (winter and spring) remain the same as traditional medical students.
In the third year, students participate in a Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC). This model provides:

Rural accelerated pathway students will be immersed in primary care or psychiatry clinical experiences in Sacramento and the target counties of Nevada, Shasta and Humboldt. Students gain hands-on experience through:
