Your journey to becoming a doctor begins here. Our program is committed to excellence in medical education and patient care. We provide a rigorous academic curriculum, early hands-on clinical training with a longitudinal primary care preceptor, and a nurturing environment to help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become a compassionate primary care doctor or psychiatrist.

Programs At a Glance

Our accelerated competency-based programs offer innovative pathways for medical students committed to primary care and psychiatry careers in rural and underserved communities in Northern California.

  • Accelerated Primary Care Pathway

    The Accelerated Competency-based Education in Primary Care (ACE-PC) pathway is designed to fast-track students into primary care careers. We currently offer two pathway programs:

    • ACE-PC
    • Rural ACE-PC

    Programs encompass:

    • 3-year medical degree in primary care
    • Accelerated, rigorous academic curriculum
    • Early, continuous hands-on training in primary care settings
    • Focus on medically underserved communities, with rural placement for Rural ACE-PC

  • Accelerated Psychiatry Pathway

    The Accelerated Competency-based Education in Psychiatry (ACE-Psych) pathway is a three-year medical degree for students pursuing a career in psychiatry. We currently offer two pathway programs:

    • ACE-Psych
    • Rural ACE-Psych

    Programs encompass:

    • 3-year medical degree with a focus in psychiatry
    • Accelerated, rigorous academic curriculum
    • Early, continuous hands-on training in psychiatry and behavioral health clinical sites
    • Focus on medically underserved communities, with rural placement for Rural ACE-Psych
