The house:
We get lots of natural sunlight and have a bunch of windows in the living room and hardwood floors. I'm currently in the larger of the two rooms (~1200) but would be fine moving into the smaller room (~1000) if you wanted more space. We have a garage with a spot for one car, but it's safe to park in the driveway/on the street so we currently use the garage for storage. The prior tenants used it as a pottery studio. It's a duplex and a rising MS4 and her partner live on the other side. We have in-unit laundry, a dishwasher, and a fireplace. It's cat and dog friendly! We have a small backyard and big front yard (gardening services included in rent, so no need to mow the lawn).
Location:
We are in Elmhurst. It's a lovely, walkable neighborhood with plenty of trees. Some other FMRP grads live in the area. It's a 5 min bike or 10 min walk door to door to the hospital! Walking distance to light rail, <5 min drive/a nice walk to Trader Joes, CVS, Corti Bros, Yume Gelato, Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters, and the cute East Sac strip. 5 min drive to Target and the cheapest gas on this side of town. It's also a nice walk to Sushi Table, Mezcal, and Bacon and Butter in Tahoe Park and 3 blocks from Cottage Mart.

My landlord is very responsive, and the property manager is the only actually good property manager I've ever had.
The pros:
Location, landlord, pet-friendly, cute built-in storage and fireplace.
The cons:
The appliances are old, but all work well. AC is window units in the bedrooms and a large wall unit in the living room (no central AC). The kitchen is on the smaller side, which I say as someone who likes to bake, but I've made do.
Me:
I'm a rising resident at the Sutter Family Medicine Residency Program and I graduated from Class of 2025! I like things on the tidier side but am definitely a soak-the-dishes-overnight-and-do-them-in-the-morning person. I'd rather host people for dinner or a game night than a party and I'm usually asleep by 10pm. I don't have any pets but love cats and am open to dogs.

I might be down for a couple of months during the year if I schedule a rotation at UCDH. And then we will be down on random weekends here and there to see friends/family.
