Interested in Membership?
Any UC Davis faculty member in the School of Medicine, including those in the Graduate Health Sciences and Medical Staff Physicians who are educators, are eligible for HEAL membership. There are three levels of membership – Member, Senior Member, and Distinguished Member. Levels of membership are dependent upon the applicant’s activity, experiences and leadership in health sciences education. Members are expected to participate regularly in HEAL activities to remain a member in good standing. Membership will be reviewed every two years and HEAL will provide a letter to showcase milestones and achievements for faculty merit and promotion packages.
Applying for HEAL Membership is relatively easy. Click the button below to learn more and access the online application. The application will request information about your educator activities, such as teaching, curricular design, mentoring, leadership, and educational scholarship. Contact information for your department or division leader is requested, as they will be asked to confirm their support of your participation in HEAL. Upon submission, your application will be reviewed by our membership committee to determine the appropriate membership tier.
