Resources & Services includes essential resources and services that fill gaps in various stages of the Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) spectrum at UC Davis and allows researchers to complete translational science in faster and more efficient ways. These assets ensure that continued innovation is facilitated along the entire spectrum of CTS research from preclinical to community and population-based work.

  • Biostatistics

    The Biostatistics program enhances clinical and translational research by delivering statistical expertise to investigators in the form of statistical consultations; grant proposal preparation; study design/protocol development; statistical analysis plan preparation; and data analysis/interpretation.

    The CTSC Clinical Research Center provides clinical expertise for biomedical research studies. The research center is not only well-staffed with experienced clinical research nurses and research coordinators, but is also well-equipped and conveniently located on the UC Davis Health campus.

We guide investigational teams through the myriad of local, state, and federal requirements.

  • Navigation Services for Budget Preparation

    We offer budget consultation services to researchers interested in applying for extramural funding for protocols related to human subject research. Using tools developed by our office such as the study feasibility template and unified budget template, our Navigation Services Finance Manager will work with you to identify study costs from your protocol and obtain quotes for services.

Pilots
  • Pilot Program and Translational Resources

    The overriding objective of Pilot Program and Translational Resources is three-fold:

    1. Serve a critical facilitator function
    2. Encourage investigators to form multidisciplinary partnerships
    3. Link investigators with the resources needed to undertake innovative studies

    To implement these objectives, the program provides ready access to campus services and facilities, organizes workshops and symposia with associated calls for pilot projects, and supports local and national translational research initiatives.

    The Biorepositories Core Resource supports the advancement of the UC Davis research community’s success in biospecimen-related research by providing education, outreach and training to its faculty, staff and students as well as creating efficient biospecimen management systems for the University and its collaborators.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Research

    The EMR Research team was established to help clinical researchers take full advantage of tools within the Epic electronic medical record system for their research projects. The team consists of a dedicated group of analysts specializing in Epic's Research module. We work collaboratively with researchers in an effort to enhance the functionality and overall effectiveness of research workflows in the EMR. We offer a variety of services ranging from workflow training to study-specific requests in the EMR.
