Evidence-Based Practice Mentors
2024 EBP Fellows working with their EBP Mentors
EBP Mentors are an essential component of the Advancing Research and Clinical Practice Through Close Collaboration (ARCC) model. They help to provide individual and organizational support on our journey to becoming a fully integrated evidence-based organization. UC Davis Health EBP Mentors represent a wide range of disciplines across inpatient, ambulatory and children’s hospital settings. These mentors have demonstrated expertise in EBP methodology but have also successfully translated evidence-based recommendations into practice. Their expertise helps to ensure that projects and initiatives are guided by the best available evidence.
To be paired with an identified EBP Mentor for your project or initiative, please reach out to the EBP Specialist at nursescience@health.ucdavis.edu.
If you have completed an EBP Fellowship or other formal EBP training, you may be eligible to serve as an EBP Mentor. Once you have been signed off by the EBP Specialist and included in the updated (2023 or later) EBP Mentor Registry, you can:
- Serve as an EBP Mentor for upcoming EBP programs
- Support practice council goals or unit-based EBP projects
- Earn Clinical Ladder credit as an EBP Mentor
To be added to the current EBP Mentor Registry or to learn more about upcoming opportunities, including options to refresh your skills, learn additional tools and resources such as AI applications in EBP, or update training completed some time ago, please contact the Center for Nursing Science.
