The 3rd annual Nursing Science and Professional Governance Conference was held on May 12, 2021 during Nurses Week. This event showcased the evidenced-based practice, quality improvement, and research accomplished by nurses and interdisciplinary teams at UC Davis Health. Our schedule featured a variety of presentations and activities, including, a Keynote Address, 6 Podium Presentations, 12 Ignite! Sessions, over 30 Poster Presentations and Lunch and Learn Workshops.
The conference also represented the official launch of UC Davis Health’s new evidence-based practice Model. After 17 years of evidence implementation using the Iowa Model, the Evidence-based Practice and Research Council recommended adoption of the system and process-based model, Advancing Research through Close Collaboration (ARCC) at UC Davis Health. - Promote the advancement of nursing science and practice.
- Share results of research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement projects at UC Davis Health.
- Increase your knowledge of clinical research methodologies and resources.
- Provide a professional forum to discuss the ARCC Model, UC Davis Health’s new evidence-based practice model to guide evidence implementation.
- Foster partnership and collaborations among clinicians, researchers, educators, and leadership.
- Stimulate inquiry to identify new nursing research and evidence implementation questions to advance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
