A cancer diagnosis and treatment can bring up difficult emotions – fatigue, sadness, worry and even depression or anxiety. These feelings can make it hard to cope with your treatment and difficult to deal with important decisions.

We have a specialized team to support you, including:

  • A board-certified psychiatrist who is an expert in cancer treatment's impact on mental health
  • Licensed clinical social workers
  • A nurse case manager

How to Get a Referral for Psychiatry

Psychiatric services are available for adults 18 and over being treated for cancer at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center outpatient clinic.

For a referral to Psychiatric Oncology, discuss your concerns with your oncologist.
