Passport
to Morocco
Here's
looking at you, kid.
Looking
to forge friendships, raise money, and heighten public awareness
about the need for cancer research, the UC Davis Cancer Center is
joining with the Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032 to
present its first-ever gala, "Passport to Morocco. "
The
Nov. 6 soiree, inspired by the classic movie "Casablanca,"
will benefit the UC Davis Cancer Center and local nonprofit organizations
that promote children's health.
The
benefit will take place at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400
J St., and will include a VIP sit down dinner, as well as a Monte
Carlo Night featuring local celebrities.
The
setting will be transformed into the wartime oasis of Rick's Cafe
in the mysterious land of camels, bazaars, Bedouin tents, the French
Foreign Legion and exotic foods.
