20 percent will benefit sel- ected children's health organizations
including, the M.I.N.D. Institute, Sacramento Food Bank's Mother-Baby
Program and Sacramento Crisis Nursery.
"Passport
to Morocco" marks the first special event hosted by the UC
Davis Cancer Center, which is expanding its basic science and cancer
research program. The center is preparing to apply for designation
as a comprehensive cancer center from the National Cancer Institute.
"Our
main goal is to gain new supporters for the cancer program, and
to showcase UC Davis - what we're doing in cancer research and where
we're going," says Jacquie Horan, development officer for the
UC Davis Cancer Center. "And of course, we'd like to raise
money."
