Assistant Professor in Residence

Dr. Talbott's research focuses on gesture and language development, early identification and treatment of ASD, and telehealth approaches to evaluating infant development and treatment efficacy. She is currently studying the utility of a telehealth-based assessment for identifying infants at high likelihood of ASD, and the developmental trajectories and clinical outcomes of infants with very early behavioral markers of ASD. The overall goal of this work is to improve early identification practices and to develop and test telehealth-mediated interventions to support families during a period of diagnostic uncertainty.
