Applications sought for Children's Miracle Network grants

Applications are being accepted for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) spring grants. CMN is the fundraising arm of UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

Any UC Davis faculty or staff member may apply for grant funding for clinical and research programs. Proposed projects must have a primary focus that directly improves the health and welfare of children, particularly those served by UC Davis Children’s Hospital. The grants are two years in duration and requested funds cannot exceed $100,000 (maximum total for two years).

The deadline to submit spring applications is Friday, Feb. 20, at 5 p.m. There will be no exceptions to this deadline.

Applications must be completed and submitted as one PDF file by to ucdaviscmngrant@health.ucdavis.edu. All pages should be numbered in sequence starting with the signature page of the application. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.

In addition, CMN will hold two workshops via Zoom to assist applicants with their grant applications:

  • Jan. 12 from 12-1 p.m.
  • Jan. 26 from 12-1 p.m.

Timeline and deadlines

The CMN fiscal year funding 2026/2027 timeline is as follows:

  • Through Feb. 20, 2026 at 5 p.m.: Spring grant applications are accepted.
  • April 2026: CMN grants are reviewed and recommended for funding.
  • May 2026: The CMN executive committee decides funding for FY 2026/2027.
  • June 2026: Letters on funding decisions are sent to applicants for FY 2026/2027.
  • July 1, 2026: CMN disperses grants.
  • TBD through Aug. 21, 2026 at 5 p.m.: Fall grant applications are accepted.

The mission of Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis Children’s Hospital is to improve the health and well-being of children by supporting a coordinated program of patient care, research and education of patients, families, faculty physicians, nurses, other health care workers and the public. CMN implements this mission by disbursing collected donations in the form of grants, awards and program development.
