The Division of Health Informatics applies informatics in areas of public health, including surveillance, prevention, preparedness, and health promotion. UC Davis is a leader in clinical and translational health research, population science, and innovative health engineering. The Division of Health Informatics links these programs for data-driven health research in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Faculty, staff, and trainees pursue research and practice a broad range of basic and applied health informatics research spanning the translational spectrum from basic sciences to clinic practice, to public health. A cornerstone of these efforts is the capability for interdisciplinary team science.

In our Master of Science in Health Informatics program, you can expect to have both a major research professor who will mentor you in research, and an academic advisor who will guide you through the academic portion of your degree (including research and teaching assistantships) depending on qualifications. If you have questions please contact the graduate program coordinator at healthinformatics@health.ucdavis.edu.
