To train students of graduate and professional programs in research methods and in applications of these methods to study distributions and causation of disease, developmental disorders and injury in populations to become productive and thoughtful researchers and public health practitioners.
Research
To develop and use research methods to understand patterns and etiology of disease, developmental disorders, injury and disability in populations.
Service
To interact with the lay and professional communities to extend knowledge about promoting and improving health and well-being and preventing disease, developmental disorders and injury.
