Philosophy of Care

When treating a patient it is important for me to understand their unique history and appreciate the sometimes long road it has taken to get to my office with the expectation of having their physical ailments validated and corrected. Though many dysfunctions are similar, no two patients are the same and understanding their goals of recovery is exceedingly important in obtaining a successful outcome. 

Clinical Interests

Dr. Paiva is an internal medicine and sports medicine trained osteopathic physician who evaluates and treats patients with various musculoskeletal ailments through the lens of osteopathic medicine. He utilizes various osteopathic manipulative techniques he has honed through extensive experience to help correct a wide variety of bodily dysfunctions. Given his concurrent occupation as a naval medical officer, he maintains an interest in wilderness and military medicine helping care for athletes and service members with training/combat-related injuries.
