I believe that the best care combines the latest surgical advances with compassion and collaboration. My goal is to help each patient fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options so we can make decisions together that align with their goals. Whether addressing trauma, nerve conditions, or arthritis, I am committed to restoring function and improving quality of life.
As a surgeon, educator, and researcher, I continually integrate the latest evidence-based techniques into my practice which allows me to provide the highest level of care to my patients.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Sorensen is board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery. She specializes in the comprehensive mangament of hand and wrist conditions from common injuries to complex reconstructive needs. She offers advanced techniques for the treatment of hand and wrist fractures, tendon and nerve issues, arthritis, and soft tissue reconstruction.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Sorensen’s academic interests focus on optimizing outcomes in hand and wrist fracture care, advancing health equity through improved access to specialized treatment, and enhancing surgical education. Holding a master’s degree in health professional’s education, she is committed to developing innovative approaches for teaching and mentoring in surgical fields.
