Philosophy of Care

Embracing a personalized, patient-first approach, Dr. Taylor believes in treating the individual, not the condition. To Dr. Taylor, joint replacements aren’t just joint replacements, but are rather the means to help his patients achieve their unique lifestyle goals. He strives to offer the best available care based on the patient’s individual needs in the context of the most up to date evidence from the medical literature that he regularly reviews and contributes to as a clinician scientist. He considers himself very fortunate to have a profession that he is passionate about and that enables him to help others doing what he loves.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Taylor is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee. He performs primary and complex revision joint replacement procedures, including partial knee replacement and total hip replacement through a direct anterior approach. He has particular interest in minimally invasive techniques, navigated and robotic technologies, and enhanced recovery protocols that help his patients not only recover more quickly, but also stay active for as long as possible.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Taylor’s research and academic interests are focused on rapid and enhanced post-operative recovery protocols, use of navigated and robotic technologies to improve implant positioning, surgical techniques for revision and complex primary joint replacement, patient outcomes, and periprosthetic joint infection.
