Hugh Edmondson Research Internship: Admission information
The Edmondson Summer Internship Program is open to undergraduate college students from the Unites States. The students must demonstrate a strong interest and motivation in research or a career in the health sciences such as clinical laboratory scientist, cytotechnologist, biomedical scientist, physician, or physician-scientist. The selection of students is based on their statement of interest, academic performance (GPA > 2.85), recommendation letters, and interviews.
The number of students applying increases each year, but the number that can be accepted is determined by available laboratory space and funding. The deadline to apply is February 9, 2024, and approximately 8-12 students will be selected to participate in interviews will be held in May. Recipients of the Edmondson internship are notified by email within a couple of weeks after interviews. We generally accept 4-6 students into the program each year, subject to availability of funds.
