Pathology/I-DARE Visiting Pathology Resident Elective for Underrepresented Trainees at UC Davis School of Medicine
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is excited to announce a unique opportunity through our IDARE program for visiting pathology residents from underrepresented groups in medicine, (including and not limited to individuals from African American/Black, Latinx, and Native American backgrounds) interested in pursuing more experience in surgical pathology. We are offering a one-month elective surgical pathology rotation to eligible candidates.
Third or fourth-year pathology residents from other schools may choose to participate in an in-person surgical pathology rotation at the UC Davis School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in March 2025.
Students in the program will receive:
- Reimbursement of travel costs to and from Sacramento and must be completed within a week of rotation dates (up to $3000)
- Reimbursement of food costs (up to $750)
- Reimbursement of housing expenses (up to $3000)
- Unique networking opportunities with Pathology Department faculty, residents, and fellows
Eligibility
Eligible participants are full-time, third or fourth-year pathology resident in good standing at an accredited U.S. institution. Residents remain registered at their own program while participating in up to one month of surgical pathology rotation at UC Davis. Each applicant must complete an application form.
