Admissions Timeline
May
- Primary application through AMCAS opens May 1
- Earliest application submission date is May 26
July
- Primary application review begins
- Secondary applications invitations sent to applicants starting in July and continues through December 31
Important note: Secondary application deadline is 30 days after secondary invitation is sent.
August
- Interview season begins
- Interviews are held virtually on Mondays and Fridays starting in the end of August and runs through the first week of April
September
- Last date to submit MCAT scores is September 30
- Last date to submit AAMC PREview® exam scores is September 30
October
- AMCAS application deadline is October 1 (11:59 p.m. EST / 8:59 p.m. PST)
- Admission decisions released on rolling bases starting October 15
February
“Plan to Enroll” option becomes available for accepted applicants in the AMCAS Choose Your Medical School Tool. Tool opens mid-February.
April
- Spring Visit (second look day for accepted students)
- Applicant narrows acceptances to three schools around April 15
- Applicant commits to a single institution by April 30
May
Waitlist decisions finalized starting May 1 through July 15
July
Matriculating class begins orientation and classes (specific dates vary each year)
