Construction activity: Street paving and striping at 2nd Avenue and 48th Street

On Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 16, the CUPx team will pave and stripe 2nd Avenue at 48th Street, resulting in a slight shift to east and west bound traffic.

Please note the following details of the activity:

Paving (May 8):

• The CUPx team will begin paving on the north side of 2nd Avenue at 48th Street, resulting in a partial closure of the 2nd Avenue westbound lane.

• East and westbound lanes will shift south with the use of delineators.

• Once complete, they will flip to the south side of 2nd Avenue, resulting in a partial closure of the eastbound lane.

• East and westbound lanes will shift north with the use of delineators.

• Bicyclists will merge with vehicular traffic.

• Flaggers will be in place to assist.

Striping (May 16):

• The CUPx team will begin striping on the north side of 2nd Avenue at 48th Street, resulting in a partial closure of the 2nd Avenue westbound lane.

• East and westbound lanes will shift south with the use of delineators.

• Once complete, they will flip to the south side of 2nd Avenue, resulting in a partial closure of the eastbound lane.

• East and westbound lanes will shift north with the use of delineators.

• Bicyclists will merge with vehicular traffic.

• Flaggers will be in place to assist.
