Philosophy of Care
Dr. Young's believes in high quality, innovative, and compassionate care of his patients. Dr. Young believes in a team-based approach to patient care, utilizing expertise of nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and consultants to provide complete care for his patients.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Young specializes in classical hematologic disorders such as anemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. He has special clinical interest in iron deficiency anemia requiring IV iron therapy. He serves as both an outpatient and inpatient hematology consultant.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Young's research focuses on investigative diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for classical hematology conditions. He is active in the training of hematology and oncology fellows as well as internal medicine residents.
