Dr. Fejerman's research is focused on breast cancer genetics and genetic epidemiology. Specifically, her work aims at explaining epidemiological patterns in breast cancer incidence and outcomes and investigating genomic and environmental factors.
Specific projects include the discovery of common breast cancer risk-associated genetic variants, the development of a breast cancer polygenic risk scores, and exploration of breast cancer gene expression patterns. Additionally, the Fejerman Lab leads a hereditary breast cancer outreach and education program in Southern and Northern California.
