Dr. Carney is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist who specializes in advanced imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, using CT, MRI, fluoroscopy and ultrasound to diagnose and guide treatment of disease. In addition, Dr. Carney specializes in non-vascular image-guided procedures (for example, biopsy of tumors and drainage of abscesses).
Dr. Carney's research focuses on imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, management of incidental findings and educational methodology in radiology training.
