Lymphedema and lymphatic diseases remain underrecognized and undertreated major health concerns worldwide. At the UC Davis Center for Lymphatic Disease, we understand that conditions of the lymphatic system require a comprehensive approach with skilled teams working together for patients. Our highly trained microsurgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery collaborate with doctors and trained specialists from multiple disciplines including Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physical and Occupational Therapy), Radiology, Vascular Surgery, and Surgical and Medical Oncology to provide you with personalized, long-term care for lymphedema treatment and prevention. Our multidisciplinary team works together to develop a tailored plan for you using the latest medical and surgical treatments and preventative care for lymphedema.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive, accessible, and longitudinal care for the treatment and prevention of lymphedema in a multidisciplinary setting while promoting awareness and advancement of current paradigms through clinical research and community collaboration.
Aims
- Provide cutting-edge, multidisciplinary care for the diagnosis, treatment and prevent of lymphedema through lymphatic medicine, imaging, surgery and therapy.
- Offer state-of-the-art surgical procedures for the treatment of lymphedema including lymphovenous bypass (LVB), vascularized lymph node transplant (VLNT) and liposuction.
- Foster clinical outcomes and investigational research for surgical lymphedema treatment.
- Promote advocacy and awareness of lymphatic disease while improving access to long-term medical and surgical care for lymphedema patients.
- Offer training opportunity for UC Davis medical students, residents and allied health professional in lymphatic medicine and surgery
