Hi, my name is Alexander Chang, and I am a New Jersey native who graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Molecular Biology. I am excited to be in the Sacramento area and have been loving it so far. My goals this year are to challenge myself to improve every day, learn how to be uncomfortable, and share what I learn with my friends and colleagues as we all grow together. After work, you can find me lifting weights in the gym (cardio couple times a week), experimenting with new food recipes, and exploring the food scene around Sac (recommendations welcome). Hi, my name is Julia Chao. I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry and I grew up in Sacramento, so it is great to be back home! I am eager to expand on my clinical knowledge and explore the various fields that pharmacy has to offer. I am excited to be continuing my education at UC Davis Health where I can apply all the knowledge that I have gained over the last 2 years to help make a positive impact on patient health. Hello, my name is Xiaomin Chen. I am a one-and-a-half generation Chinese American who grew up in San Francisco. I attended UC Davis for my bachelor’s in economics and pharmaceutical chemistry, and it is good to be back to the Greater Sacramento area! I am especially excited to explore different areas of pharmacy with the guidance of our excellent preceptors to find out what I enjoy the most. In my spare time, I love cooking, going on scenic walks, reading, and trying new foods. Hello, my name is Joshua Chin. I am originally from Malaysia and Canada before I moved to the United States five years ago. For my undergraduate studies, I attended Simon Fraser University, City College of San Francisco, and then UC Berkeley. I graduated with a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology in 2020 and am now completing pharmacy school at UCSF. I am excited to gain valuable hands-on experience in the different fields of pharmacy during APPEs. In my spare time, I enjoy playing badminton and soccer, watching sports, photography, hiking, and exploring new food places! Hi, my name is Stephen Choy. I attended UC Santa Cruz for my undergraduate and am a Bay Area native. I'm excited to be in the Greater Sacramento Area and gain new experiences, both on a professional and personal level. My current interest in pharmacy includes hospital, managed care, and industry. In my spare time, I like to go on runs and lift weights at the gym. I’m currently training for the SF Half Marathon that’s coming up this July. Hello, my name is Crystal Chung, and I grew up in San Francisco. I left foggy SF briefly for sunny UCLA (go bruins!) where I graduated with a BS in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and a minor in Food Studies. I am excited for this new chapter of my education in Sacramento, full of new opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. While on rotations, I hope to develop clinical skills and explore different areas of pharmacy. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, exercising, and writing Yelp reviews. I currently attend UCSF School of Pharmacy and recently moved to Sacramento for my APPE rotations in Davis. I am very excited to gain clinical knowledge and make new professional connections at UC Davis Health. During my spare time, I enjoy yoga, running, trying out to new restaurants and coffee shops. Hello, everyone, my name is Pavandeep Janday. I am from Stockton, CA, and completed my undergraduate studies at UC Merced in Biological Sciences. I am very excited to have the opportunity to complete my final year of pharmacy school here in Sacramento and develop into the future pharmacist I hope to become. I look forward to learning from all the great pharmacists around the Sacramento area to help guide me in my goal of developing into a clinically minded pharmacist. Away from school, I love to play basketball in my free time and support the Sacramento Kings even though each year ends with more pain. Hi everyone, my name is Eric Kim and I graduated from UCLA with a degree in biology. This next school year, I am really looking forward to exploring the different realms of pharmacy to find something I am truly passionate about. Some things I enjoy outside of pharmacy school include hiking at national parks, bouldering, snowboarding, playing volleyball and trying local beers from the different cities I visit. Hello, my name is So Young Kim. I attended UC Berkeley for my undergraduate studies where I majored in Bioengineering. After graduation, I was a pharmaceutical researcher studying selective drug/gene delivery into cancer cells for three years. Now I am at UCSF School of Pharmacy, enjoying every moment of it. In my free time, you will find me enjoying walks with my dog, golfing, indoor rock climbing, and skiing (very excited to be near Lake Tahoe). I also love to cook Korean food, play the piano, and watch Netflix documentaries. I am excited to start my APPE rotation here at the Sacramento area and apply the didactic experience the I have gained. Hello, my name is Jeremy Lam. I attended UC Berkeley for my undergraduate studies and pursued my master’s degree at Loyola Marymount University. I look forward to immersing myself in my APPE experience this upcoming year. I hope that through these experiences, I will be able to evolve my passions in pharmacy. Outside of pharmacy, I love going to coffee shops and getting iced oat lattes (I used to be a barista!). I enjoy running, listening to Tate McRae, and soaking in the sun. Hello, my name is Nancy Lee. I grew up in the East Bay Area and attended UC Davis for my undergraduate studies. I returned to the Bay Area for pharmacy school and am excited to be back in the Sacramento area for my APPE rotations. I have a particular interest in emergency medicine and toxicology, but I'm excited to learn as much as I can in all my rotations this upcoming year. Hi everyone, my name is Josephine Ngo. I attended undergrad here at UC Davis and it’s good to be back after two years. I’m excited to learn more about the different specialties of pharmacy to figure out where I want to go with my career in the future and to be more hands on with my learning. UC Davis gave me countless opportunities to grow during undergrad and I’m grateful to be able to come back and finish my last year of school here. I’ve lived in San Jose my whole life and love being in the Bay Area. Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy going to the beach, hikes, and farmers markets with my dogs. The pandemic made me a full-blown dog mom and I enjoy just staying at home and relaxing with my dogs. I’m looking forward to all the new experiences this year and meeting a lot of new people.

Hello everyone, my name is Ashley Takeshita, and I grew up in Orange County in Southern California. I attended UC Davis for undergraduate, where I majored in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and minored in Music. I am excited to be back in the area, but not as excited about the allergies. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and piano, napping, watching Netflix shows, and exploring new foods/restaurants.
