Electric Vehicle Charging

UC Davis Health provides a number of EV charging spaces for employees and visitors, on first-come first-serve basis.

Parking in an EV charging space requires starting an active session through ChargePoint in addition to standard parking rates. You must use the ChargePoint mobile app to initiate and pay for EV fueling. For help, please see How to use ChargePoint

Affiliate Rate for Employees/Students:

Discounted, affiliate, pricing, is available for all employees or students with a UC Davis or UC Davis Health email address. Follow the instructions below to request affiliate status.

Step 1: Download the ChargePoint app:
Search for “ChargePoint” in the Google Play or the Apple App Store, download the app, and create an account. If you already have an account, you may continue to use it, otherwise create a ChargePoint account using your preferred email address. You can use any email address. You will enter your UC Davis or UC Davis Health email address later, as part of the request to receive the affiliate pricing.

Step 2: Request Connection to receive the affiliate rate:

1. To access the request form, log in to your Online Parking Account at https://ucdmc.aimsparking.com, then,
2. Click on the link “Sign Up for ChargePoint Affiliate Rate”. Log into ChargePoint if prompted. If you are using your mobile phone, this should open the form in the ChargePoint app, otherwise you may now be asked to log into ChargePoint web site.
3. Complete the form. Enter your UC Davis or UC Davis Health email address, first and last name, and then click “Request Connection”.

You will receive an email once your connection request is approved.

Note: Employees and students must have a valid parking permit at all times when charging.

*Access to gated parking requires a gate access card ($20 one-time fee) or current Employee ID Badge. Contact Parking Services to enable access.
