January — UC Office of the President approves interprofessional Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership Graduate Degree Programs: Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy
September — Instruction begins with eight Doctor of Philosophy and 25 Master of Science students in the inaugural classes
2011
Fall — Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredits Master of Science leadership program
2012
June — Inaugural class of 25 graduate from Master of Science leadership program

2013
Spring — UC Davis family nurse practitioner, physician assistant programs transition to School of Nursing as interprofessional master’s-degree programs

2014
June — Inaugural class of eight Doctor of Philosophy candidates receive degrees
2015
California Board of Registered Nursing approves new prelicensure program, Master’s Entry Program in Nursing

2016
June — Inaugural class of 24 matriculates into Master’s Entry Program in Nursing

2017
Summer — Betty Irene Moore Hall opens
December — Inaugural Master’s Entry Program in Nursing class graduates
2018
August — Founding Dean Heather M. Young steps down after 10 years of leadership

2019
July — Stephen J. Cavanagh appointed as the school’s second dean and Dignity Health Dean’s Chair for Nursing Leadership
