Shannon Nueske is Executive Director of Specialty Care, Ambulatory Operations at UC Davis Health. She is a seasoned leader with more than 17 years of experience spanning health care administration, clinical operations and strategic planning across major systems, including John Muir Health and Sutter Health.
Nueske provides strategic and operational leadership across UC Davis Health’s Musculoskeletal Service Line (MSK), which includes Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Spine Center, Point West Hand Surgery, Pain Management, Edwards Family Athletic Center, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Specialties. She partners closely with physician leaders and operations teams to strengthen coordination, enhance access and drive growth across the full spectrum of MSK services.
She offers a unique blend of administrative expertise and frontline clinical insight as a practicing registered nurse. She is recognized for her ability to align complex operational, financial and clinical priorities; build strong partnerships with physicians; and champion innovative solutions that enhance patient access, experience and outcomes.
Nueske holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from The George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
