Philosophy of Care

I believe in obtaining a comprehensive assessment of each patient's heart function through diagnostic testing, before offering individualized care plans to each of my unique patients. My hope is to prioritize not just longevity, but also your quality of life. When I am not working in the hospital or clinic, I enjoy hiking and skiing in Lake Tahoe as well as spending time with my wife, son, and dog, Poppy. 

Clinical Interests

Dr. Bhandari is a general cardiologist offering care for adults with various cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and conduction disease/arrhythmias. He treats patients admitted to the hospital at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento as well as patients in clinic at Elk Grove clinic.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Bhandari's research focuses on early detection for coronary artery disease to reduce the risk of a myocardial infarction (heart attack). He has collaborated with emergency medicine physicians and cardiologists across the country on a clinical trial evaluating the role of the novel cardiac biomarker, GDF-15. He has also collaborated with computational biomedicine experts on the development of novel artificial intelligence technology to improve electrocardiogram interpretation.
