Dr. Stiewig-Rapp approaches medicine with a patient-centered, holistic philosophy, emphasizing the importance of empowering individuals to actively participate in their own healthcare. She believes in fostering a collaborative relationship with her patients, their families, and the broader healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and personalized care. Dr. Stiewig-Rapp takes great care in listening attentively to each patient’s concerns and is committed to providing clear, compassionate explanations of diagnoses and treatment options. By creating an open and supportive environment, she strives to guide her patients toward informed decision-making and optimal health outcomes.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Stiewig-Rapp is an endocrinologist specializing in the management of conditions such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and thyroid disorders. She has a particular clinical interest in the treatment of obesity and currently serves as the Program Director for the Obesity and Metabolic Disease Clinic within the Division of Endocrinology.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Stiewig-Rapp enjoys teaching and is involved in precepting within the UC Davis School of Medicine. Her research interests include incretin therapies for treatment of obesity.
