UC Davis Health’s Cystic Fibrosis Program, within the nationally ranked Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Established in 1985, the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) program at UC Davis provides clinical care and advances research of this genetic disease. The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program is proud to be accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We have a dedicated group of providers including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, a pharmacist, a registered dietician, and licensed clinical social worker. In your clinic appointments, all of our team members will get to know you and develop individual care plans that optimize your health and well-being. Patients can communicate with us outside of clinic through our nurse coordinator during normal business hours and there is always an on-call pulmonologist after-hours in case of emergencies.
More than 30,000 people in the United States live with CF in the USA. The disease affects many organ systems including the lungs, pancreas, intestinal tract, and reproductive organs. With advances in clinical care and breakthroughs from research—in part done here at UC Davis--the life expectancy for patients with cystic fibrosis continues to improve. Thirty-five years ago, individuals with CF rarely lived past college, now more than half of the current patient CF population is of adult age.
Our Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program regularly address and manage:

In order to prevent the spread of infection from one patient to another, we adhere to strict infection control precautions in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. We are happy to address any questions you may have regarding our procedures
We actively in participate in research. Both clinical trials and basic science projects are underway to address unmet therapeutic needs and provide a better understanding of the pathobiology of CF. Our dedicated team that can answer questions about ongoing studies and enrollment possibilities. We actively participate as a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Development Network (TDN).
