Photos on the helipad: Trauma team celebrates successful year

The Trauma team recently gathered to celebrate another successful year of providing the highest level of trauma care to the Greater Sacramento region.
Pictured below are the Trauma Medical Director, Dr. Rachael Callcut, and the members of the trauma team, including the Trauma Program staff, Trauma APPs, the Division of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, Surgical Critical Care Faculty Surgeons and Trauma/Critical Care Fellows.
Last year, the trauma program saw over 8,300 trauma patients, placing UC Davis Health among the busiest in the United States. Also in 2025, the Trauma Program was re-accredited as a level-one trauma center by the American College of Surgeons for the maximum term allowable of three years.
“This is a testament to the dedication of the entire team that includes many individuals from across the health system,” Calcutt said.
