Free career resource fair brings employers, resources to Aggie Square

(SACRAMENTO)

UC Davis Health’s Anchor Institution Mission (AIM), in partnership with Aggie Square, the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) and the city of Sacramento, will host a Career Resource Fair at Aggie Square on Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Career Resource Fair is free, open to the public and includes parking and lunch.

Job seekers will have the chance to meet teams from UC Davis and UC Davis Health, learn about current job openings, and ask questions about the application process. Classroom presentations will cover “Demystifying your path to UC Davis” and a UC Davis Temporary Employment Services (TES) information session.

“UC Davis Health is committed to leveraging our role as a major employer and community partner to expand opportunity,” said Khoban Kochai, AIM’s director. “This resource and career fair reflects AIM in action.”

The schedule also includes presentations such as “Become a competitive candidate: Understanding the state’s process,” “How to write a statement of qualifications for the state of California” and “The path to county service.”

Additional employers attending the fair include the Department of Industrial Relations, County of Sacramento, city of Sacramento Department of Public Works and Sacramento City College’s Technology and Innovation Division. The wide range of employers and resources highlights the strength of the event’s community partnerships.

“We are elated to partner with UC Davis Health as it further embraces our holistic approaches to inspire change and drive meaningful, lasting impact for our community,” said William Walker, SETA’s workforce development manager.

City of Sacramento District 5 Councilmember Caity Maple said the event connects residents with real employment opportunities.

“The 2026 Career Resource Fair connects residents with stable, meaningful careers,” Maple said. “Access to jobs, training and supportive resources can be life-changing, and this event brings together partners who are deeply committed to providing all three to our community.”

The April 16 event marks the first time the Career Resource Fair will be held at Aggie Square, located at 4480 Second Ave. Building community capacity through inclusive and socially driven efforts is a cornerstone principle of Aggie Square.

Registration opportunities remain for employers and resource providers to join.

Participants may also register in advance. Walk-ins are welcome.
