Dr. Misagh Piran’s philosophy of care is centered around placing patients at the heart of every decision, ensuring that their needs and well-being guide his approach to cardiovascular and thoracic imaging. Recognizing the complexities of heart and lung conditions, he is committed to providing precise and personalized diagnoses through advanced imaging techniques. By working closely with multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Piran ensures that each patient benefits from a comprehensive and collaborative approach, where innovative technology and compassionate care come together to deliver the best possible outcomes for every individual.
Dr. Misagh Piran is a radiologist, specializing in thoracic and cardiac imaging. He has advanced training in cardiac MRI and CT, with extensive experience in noninvasive imaging in congenital heart disease, genetic cardiomyopathies, rare cardiac disease and echocardiography.
Dr. Misagh Piran’s research focuses on advancing cardiovascular and thoracic imaging for improved diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung diseases. He is particularly interested in normal value assessments, electrophysiology imaging, and the study of Fabry disease, cardiomyopathies, and cardiac sarcoidosis. His work includes research on strain analysis and its clinical implications, as well as the role of imaging in heart and lung transplantation. Additionally, Dr. Piran is exploring the application of artificial intelligence in evaluating cardiac function.
