Why UC Davis?: As a former Aggie on the Division-I football team, UC Davis opened the door for me to explore the medical field both as a patient and student, so I’ve always considered Davis as an ideal landing spot to continue my medical training. The PM&R program has a unique combination of a high faculty-to-resident ratio, thus allowing for many opportunities for learning and mentorship, in addition to a close-knit and supportive camaraderie of residents who bolster each other’s experience. Sacramento, known as the “Farm-to-Fork” capital is a very up and coming city with amazing food options, close proximity to Lake Tahoe, great hiking spots, and my hometown in the Bay Area.
