New Ranking Places Us Fourth in NIH Funding
The Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research has released their ranking tables of National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding to U.S. Medical Schools in 2024. We have been listed at number four out of 45 departments of public health and preventive medicine in schools of medicine.
Four of our faculty members have also placed in top 50-funded primary investigators in departments of public health and preventive medicine in eligible medical schools.
We are dedicated to improving human health using approaches based in epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, and behavioral science.
Research
We are national research leaders in NIH funding with expertise in occupational heath, environmental epidemiology, alzheimer's and dementia, population science of cancer, and health disparities.
Education
Our education programs train undergraduate and graduate students to be highly-qualified public health professionals and leaders in the field.
Service
We serve the community with public health outreach, occupational health clinical contracts, agricultural safety trainings, and biostatistical consulting for researchers.
