Christine Williams

Chief Nursing Executive and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer

Christine Williams, RN, M.S., C.N.S., serves as the Chief Nursing Executive and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer at UC Davis Health. With more than 36 years of nursing and leadership experience, she brings deep expertise in clinical care, quality management, program development, patient throughput, system optimization, and informatics.

Prior to her current role, Christine served as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer of Critical Care, Trauma, and Informatics at UC Davis Health. She has been an influential leader in advancing nursing practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and innovative care delivery across the health system.

Christine is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), the American Trauma Society (ATS), the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN), the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL), and Sacramento Sierra Nursing Leadership (SSNL).

She earned her Master of Science degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with a focus in Critical Care and Trauma from the University of California, San Francisco, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Humboldt State University. In 2012, she further advanced her executive training through the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program at the Wharton School of Business.

Christine’s contributions have been widely recognized, earning her multiple honors, including the UC Davis Health Outstanding Achievements Award, the DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence, and the ACNL Award for Innovation and Technology in Professional Nursing.
